Wharfedale EVO 5 speakers have officially made their global debut at High End Munich 2025, ushering in a new era of audiophile-grade sound at attainable prices. Serving as the long-anticipated successor to the acclaimed EVO 4 series, the all-new Wharfedale EVO 5 lineup boasts a complete overhaul—from enhanced cabinet structures and upgraded crossover designs to next-generation AMT tweeters and proprietary damping materials. Drawing high-performance DNA straight from Wharfedale’s flagship Elysian range, the EVO 5 series is precision-engineered to deliver immersive, high-fidelity sound with fewer compromises, even in challenging room environments.
The Wharfedale EVO 5 series features five meticulously crafted models: the two-way EVO 5.1 standmount, the larger three-way EVO 5.2 standmount, the floorstanding EVO 5.3 and EVO 5.4, and a dedicated EVO 5.C centre channel speaker tailored for cinematic home theatre configurations. Each model is equipped with a larger 35x70mm AMT tweeter and an upgraded 50mm fabric dome midrange utilizing SilentWeave—a hybrid cotton/felt damping material developed to suppress internal resonance. Added innovations include ResoFrame elastomer mounts and ResoSeal rings, the latter engineered to enhance treble clarity and midrange warmth.
Cabinet design has also evolved with larger enclosures crafted from multi-density wood layers and hybrid wood/metal plinth bases that integrate Wharfedale’s refined SLPP bass port system—now optimized to fire in three directions, delivering seamless room integration and deeper bass. Available finishes include walnut veneer, matte black, matte white, and a fresh matte grey arriving in June.
