Two titans of sound return to the spotlight with the debut of the American Vintage Turntable, a premium collaboration between MoFi Electronics and iconic guitar maker Fender. Following their successful joint effort on the PrecisionDeck, this new release goes deeper into Fender’s heritage, featuring a hand-crafted solid alder plinth finished in the legendary three-color Sunburst—echoing the signature style of the Stratocaster and Telecaster. Designed for both audiophiles and collectors, the American Vintage Turntable delivers a blend of retro visuals and cutting-edge vinyl playback performance that pays homage to rock ‘n’ roll’s golden era.
The design centers around high-end components, including a hefty 6.8-pound Delrin® platter for reduced resonance and improved fidelity, paired with an ultra-precise hardened inverted bearing made from stainless steel, bronze, and sapphire. Anchoring it all is MoFi’s 10-inch Ultra Tonearm, using Cardas Audio internal wiring and high-quality ball bearings for ultra-smooth movement. Speed control is handled electronically for seamless switching between 33⅓ and 45 RPM. Stability and isolation are enhanced through advanced, co-developed isolation feet from Harmonic Resolution Systems (HRS). Each turntable configuration—cartridge-free, MasterTracker MM, or UltraGold MC—comes complete with a matching dust cover and proudly carries Fender’s unmistakable rock DNA.
Available in three distinct models, the American Vintage Turntable ranges from US$2,995 for the base unit to US$3,995 for the flagship UltraGold MC-equipped version. Pre-orders are now live, with the first shipments set for June 2025 in the US. For more technical details, you can visit this in-depth breakdown from Stereophile.
