Arcam Rolls Out Major Software Updates Enhancing HDA AVRs, SA30, and ST60 Hi-Fi Streamers

Arcam has introduced a significant firmware update that elevates the performance of its acclaimed HDA AV receivers as well as its high-fidelity SA30 streaming integrated amplifier and ST60 hi-fi streamer. The update brings expanded TIDAL high-resolution streaming support, enabling playback of up to 192kHz over TIDAL Connect.

This upgrade marks a major improvement for Arcam users, who previously could only stream TIDAL’s MQA content via the exclusive MusicLife app. Now, with native TIDAL Connect integration, users can enjoy seamless access to the full catalog of hi-res lossless audio directly from the TIDAL app.

Alongside the SA30 and ST60, the update also benefits a wide range of Arcam’s HDA AV receiver lineup, including the AVR11, AVR21, AVR31, and AV41, as well as HDMI 2.1 variants of the AVR5, AVR10, AVR20, AVR30, and AV40. These AVRs now support full TIDAL Connect functionality, significantly enhancing their streaming versatility.

An additional part of this update is the release of firmware version 1.62 2057 (Net 2057), which delivers improvements to eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel) performance over HDMI 2.1. This will benefit users leveraging compatible displays and sources for immersive, high-bandwidth audio playback.

Once final testing is complete, the Net 2057 update is also expected to roll out to all HDMI 2.0-based Arcam AVRs—with a planned availability in the first half of 2025. This demonstrates Arcam’s continued commitment to supporting legacy hardware with vital performance boosts and modern features.

The latest firmware updates can be downloaded directly from the official Arcam website and installed via USB. Arcam provides detailed installation instructions to ensure a smooth update process for all users. Additionally, Arcam dealers have been fully briefed on the updates to support communication and customer onboarding at the local level.

Looking ahead, Arcam confirms it is actively developing over-the-air (OTA) update functionality to simplify future software delivery and further enhance user convenience.
